Things Ship Life Makes You Grateful For – #8: Endless Restaurant Choices

#8: Endless restaurant choices

You mean, I can just pop over to Chick-fil-a for breakfast, stop by Olive Garden for lunch, and grab dinner at The Cheesecake Factory? Okay, maybe that’s ridiculously unhealthy, but getting to choose where to eat a meal based on what you want to eat rather than what restaurants are within walking distance of the cruise terminal is such a nice change. When we really wanted to eat at a certain restaurant, it meant waiting for home port and sacrificing all other activities during those few precious hours on land. Hence, we only took an Uber to Olive Garden once.

Sent this picture to my boyfriend within a few hours of signing off the ship for good.

He replied with this. He was stuck on board for one more cruise.

Story time!

I don’t know what it is with port cities and certain restaurants, but if you are a huge fan of Hooters and Bubba Gump’s, you’re all set. It seems these two are always available, even in Mexican and Caribbean ports. Oh, and don’t forget Hard Rock Café – almost every single non-American port has one. In the end, we often took to these restaurants just for the safety of knowing what was on the menu wouldn’t give us food poisoning.
